Carpinteria Coastal Dining... This is just a Cool, Cool Town.
One of the best, hidden beach communities in California is the little town of Carpinteria. Tucked into a cove between Montecito and Ventura, Carpinteria is the quintessential, kick-back beach town, and everywhere you look, there's a great place to eat.
Naturally, being a beach town, there are endless options for great, locally-caught, fresh seafood in Carpinteria. Best of all, the combination of gourmet fare and a laid-back beach town give restaurant-goers the best of both worlds: a place to kick back while enjoying great, gourmet meals in their flip-flops.
Carpinteria has a brewery, plenty of wine tasting featuring local wines, and great food in just about every restaurant you come across while strolling through town. Cafes, Cajun food, steak... and did we mention fresh seafood yet? Of course we did!
Another thing that Carpinteria restaurants feature is the freshest produce you can find. California is home to the world's best produce, and the independent restaurants in Carpinteria have a ton of it. A lot of the dishes in Carpinteria's restaurants feature organic, locally-grown fruits and vegetables from right down the road. The northern end of Santa Barbara County has some of the richest farmland in the world, as does Ventura County to the south. Carpinteria is nestled next to the ocean right between both of them, so there's no shortage of anything fresh and delicious in Carpinteria.
