Yes, as a matter of fact, yes, we do have the best jobs in the world, doing video shoots with the best, local restaurants we can find! We love fighting the good fight to help our independent, local restaurants in their ongoing battle with the Goliath, super-mega chain restaurants out there. In order to do that, one of the best things we can do is to actually go to the independent, local restaurants and set up a camera in the kitchen with their owners, executive chefs and cooks. We watch them cook their signature dishes right before our very eyes (and video cameras) using their fresh ingredients, and they actually, really cook the dishes with us, on camera.

Naturally, that's not the best part: the best part is when we get to sample the dishes themselves (whether it's on video or not, to be quite honest). The food we've sacrificed for the sake of a Local Saute video segment at our independent, local restaurants has been nothing short of a Foodie's dream come true.
I'll be the first to tell you that when we're on camera eating these dishes, thanks to our local chefs and restaurateurs, we are not acting. Every reaction we have had to the food we've been able to sample and eat on camera has been absolutely, 100% authentic. It's pretty easy to "act" like the food is good when it actually is as good as we make it seem.
