While talking to Anita in the kitchen, the smell was mouth-watering unto itself. The sauteed shallots and garlic was enough to make us beyond hungry, then came everything else that got stuffed into the mushroom. We were even made privy to their classic "Mama's Spice," a traditional blend of spices carried from generation to generation.
When you think of Italian dishes, you think of those classic Italian blends of herbs, rustic flavors and a heartiness in the food where you know you won't be left hungry. However, when you see the title "Stuffed Portabella Mushroom," you don't automatically think, "Man, this is gonna fill me up." However, it did, as we show in the video. Just a few bites into it and we knew this would be a hearty, stick-to-your-ribs (in a good way) kind of meal. Not to say it was heavy at all - just hearty.
