Summerland is a brief stop between Montecito and Carpinteria and, while there aren't many restaurants from which to choose, the restaurants in Summerland are worth the stop. Of course, Summerland is right along the coast, so the restaurants have plenty of fresh, locally-caught seafood. Aside from great seafood, there are a couple of spots where you just want to sit down, relax, and have some great comfort food, too. Grab a burger along Highway 1 on your way to or from Santa Barbara or Ventura, and just sit a while and enjoy the summer, coastal breeze while you eat. Or, you can get a hearty breakfast on your way north to do some wine tasting. In fact, if you want to do some wine tasting in a less-touristy spot, you can do that right in Summerland, too. Just stop in for a while and enjoy the local, independent restaurants in Summerland - it's definitely worth a stop for Foodies.
