Great Restaurants in Isla Vista and Around UCSB

UCSB Sign
Santa Barbara is known as a college town, and Isla Vista sees a lot of the college-student action around UC Santa Barbara.

Just steps between the UCSB campus and the beach is a gathering of great, little restaurants, eateries and cafes. Quite frankly, there's actually a great selection of, well, hangover food, to be honest. Mexican food, cafes, bagel shops... more importantly, Isla Vista has lot of restaurants that don't care if you come in after a long night wearing a pair of jeans or sweats, flip-flops, a UCSB sweatshirt and an old hat.

A good hearty meal is easy to find in Isla Vista, and nothing sets your day on the right path like a big breakfast - or lunch, depending on when you wake up - and a leisurely stroll to the beach.

Take a quick jaunt over by Anisqoyo Park and just walk around until you find something that sounds good. There's plenty of variety in Isla Vista's restaurants, so there's always a menu within earshot that'll float your boat, so to speak.

One of the best things you can do is grab something to go in any of the great, independent restaurants in Isla Vista, and just walk a few steps down to either Camino Pescadero Park or Pelican Park (both of which overlook the ocean) and take in the sea breeze and fresh, salty air while you enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner.
